National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide celebration that brings together business leaders, apprentices, labor, educational institutions, and other critical partners to show the value of Registered Apprenticeship.
Partners around the country host events, release resources, and issue proclamations that highlight the importance and proven success of Registered Apprenticeship for meeting employers’ skilled talent needs, rebuilding our economy, advancing racial and gender equity, and supporting underserved communities.
This year’s NAW will be a particularly momentous occasion, as 2022 marks 85 years since the National Apprenticeship Act first established Registered Apprenticeship as a national initiative. So let’s make NAW bigger and better than ever!
Here’s what you can do:
Host a NAW event: Accelerators, job fairs, recruiting fairs, employer facility tours, apprentice recognition events, and podcasts and radio talk shows are all great ways to get the word out. Be creative!
Register your event so that you can inspire others, be counted in national tracking, and help build momentum.
Use the state, city, or industry proclamation templates to create a proclamation your state or local leaders can issue in support of NAW, and submit your proclamation to be included on the official NAW map.
Use the hashtag #NAW2022 on all your social media posts.

Let’s make this the best NAW yet! Thinking about next year already? Please mark your calendars for NAW 2023 from November 13 to 19, 2023, and NAW 2024 from November 18 to 24, 2024.
